With all the luscious new yarns available today, crocheters are making even more garments than ever before. Look out knitters, you’re not the only ones who are making beautiful hand-made apparel.
This section of The Crafty Tipster is dedicated to sharing free crochet clothing pattens. The focus here will be on adult, teen-sized, or any-sized (scarves, etc) crochet items. There’s another section, Crochet for Baby where you can find free crochet apparel patterns for babies and small children.
For now, there’s only one original crochet scarf pattern by The Crafty Tipster and one vintage crochet jacket pattern. I hope to add more great apparel patterns but since I generally do not crochet clothing, most of the patterns you will find here will be vintage ones.
This pretty crochet jacket pattern is over 90 years old, yet would be a fashionable addition to any modern wardrobe. This free crochet apparel pattern is made with "fourfold Germantown" yarn, best we can tell that is roughly equivalent to the typical four-ply acrylic yarns.
Dr. Who fans out there should recognize this scarf.
The Scrappy Scarf is the perfect way to thrill your favorite Dr. Who fan and it also makes for a great stashbuster project.
